Aku Menditeguy is a multidisciplinary artist who defines herself as a poet writing verses with her body. Her creative process links writing with corporal expression. Oscillating from words to movement and from movement to words, her work is materialized in videos and photographs.  The same, a body poetry, is born from a score and is built from different moments: research, meditation, improvisation and recording. Sometimes in front of the lens and in the first person, other times behind it, producing projects that also have their own artistic rhetoric.  The ways in which Aku expresses herself are born from her passion for approaching life with all her senses awake, but also from her formal education in art, dance, performing arts, writing, body expression and other artistic disciplines. The language she proposes is an invitation to think and dialogue from corporeality, symbolism and metaphor. She is interested in generating climates that summon the audience to strip themselves of any prejudice to connect with their most intimate emotions. She pulsates and loves movement. She understands that through the body it is possible to build a narrative and awaken the most sensitive fiber of those who get involved. The subtlety of touch, the bristling of the skin, the breath, the deep look, the hands and feet in soft movement write poetry, erect a lyric that is unique and constitutes her work.
